Today's featured artist continues my Wet Canvas friends series. Rita is a very prolific artist in several mediums - jewelry, fine art, and now glasswork. Her watercolor titled 'Nesting' is one of my all time favorite paintings ever, and her 'Cat's Up' whimsical take on a Catsup bottle is a close second.

Rita's little 'Citrus Dancing' earrings caught my eye when I first saw them on the Wet Canvas Wearable Arts forum. I love both the name and the bright mix of color! Check out Rita's blog for more about her art, and her new passion - glass beadmaking. I can't wait to see some new creations from Rita's handmade beads!

Hey Cheryl! I thought the Christmas shopping was over a couple of days ago, and I was working on my last order, when they started pouring in again! I'm like you, and I've been playing catch up for about 2 weeks. I would work until about 11:30 at night, then I had to go to sleep. It was rough for a while, but I'm very grateful for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've been so busy too!
I had to delete my 1000Markets shop, because Amazon wouldn't work. John is trying to figure out what their problem is, but so far I haven't heard from him again. I don't really mind though, cause I don't know if I could have handled 2 shops here lately.
I hope the business continues for both of us!
Happy Holidays!
I have that nesting painting (a print) and I adore it! She does beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I finally got around to visiting the blogs i follow, now that the holiday crunch is over. Thank you so much for featuring my work on your blog!!! I really appreciate the support, and the kind words about my work. Hugs, Rita
